What is Reddit?

People often ask me "What is reddit?". I never know how to answer. I usually start with a simple "Do you know Digg?", sometimes go with a "It's like a forum" and usually end up with a "But the comments are what makes Reddit Reddit".
Reddit is full of smart and funny people. And instead of having to explain it every time, I created a tumblr to do the job for me. Check it out :
